Rossella Schillaci

Rossella Schillaci, documentary filmmaker and anthropologist, obtained a Master’s Degree in Visual Anthropology and directed the documentary at the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology in Manchester. She has attended various courses with several directors, including Abbas Kiarostami and Robert Guediguian. Together with other professionals, she created the productive reality Azul film, with which she has made numerous documentary films on the themes of migration, identity and imprisonment, participating and obtaining awards in numerous national and international festivals, such as Al Jazeera Film Festival, Open city London, RAI film festival, Fespaco, Jean Rouch film festival, Film de femmes de Creteil, Fipatel, the Venice International Film Festival, the Turin Film Festival.
