Francesco Samorè

Storico dell’economia / Fondazione Giannino Bassetti

Born in Milan in 1976.

Scientific Director of the Fondazione Giannino Bassetti, whose mission is to promote responsibility in innovation.

Responsibilities include steering and direction, staff coordination and planning. Manages relationships between Fondazione Bassetti and businesses and institutions both in Italy and abroad related to the following four principal fields:

Responsibility within innovation in governance;

Responsibility within innovation in life sciences;

Responsibility within innovation and business;

Responsibility within innovation and risk

Holds a degree in the History of Economics and a PhD in the History of Business and Company Finance.
Principal research fields are: the structure of the modern Italian economy, the bigraphic study or entrepreneurs, and the analysis of energy providers with particular interest in the natural gas sector.

Collaborates with the Department of the Science of History of the Università degli Studi in Milan (since 2006) and with the Department of Sociology of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (since 2008).

Is a member of the Italian Society of Economic Historians (SISE)
Since 2006 conducts research for the Center of Business culture in Milan.
Member of the Editorial Board of «Storia in Lombardia», periodical of the Lombardy Institute of Contemporary History.
