Francesco Fei  made his name as  filmmaker  by directing several music videos with the most important Italian artists.

His first film, “Onde”, was selected at the Rotterdam Film Festival and in others international festivals.

Francesco Fei’s works have been selected in several international festivals including Venice, Rotterdam, Rome, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, the  Festival of the Cinema of art in Montreal, Venice Biennale of Architecture and in prestigious museums and Italian art galleries as the Foundation Salvatore Ferragamo and the Pac  – Museum of Contemporary Art  in Milan.

Fei has written produced and directed the docufiction with Filippo Timi “Segantini  return to  nature” selected in 2016 at the Biografilm Festival where it  won the Public Award.

In 2018 his documentary “La Regina di Casetta” won the  Best Italian Moovie  award at Festival dei Popoli.

His second feature film “Mi chiedo quando ti mancherò” based on the best seller of the American writer Amanda Davis “Wonder when you’ll miss me” has been presented at The Rome Film Festival in the independent section Alice nella Città, where it won with  Beatrice Grannò the award as best emerging actress. The movie will be in cinemas in spring 2020 distributed by Istituto Luce.

Francesco Fei is lecturer at the Academy of Bergamo and at the IED of Milan.
